After 300 – 450 km your EMQ e-bike is due for its first service. All parts of your EMQ e-bike have then “cycled in”. To enjoy your bike as long as possible it is then important to tighten and check everything again. This first service is important for an optimal lifetime of your EMQ e-bike. So plan it in time to avoid losing your warranty.
After the first service, your EMQ e-bike is ready to go again! Your EMQ e-bike needs a service every 1,000 km or every year (whichever comes first). This can be done by us or by your local bike shop. Periodic maintenance is important to avoid unnecessary wear and tear and to prevent possible problems.
We understand like no other that you want to enjoy your EMQ e-bike as long as possible. This requires proper maintenance. Think about having your maintenance done on time. This will prevent unnecessary wear and possible problems. And your EMQ e-bike will stay like new!
But also remember that with a few simple tips and tricks, you yourself will ensure long-term enjoyment of your e-bike.
Have your EMQ e-bike serviced and repaired by an EMQ affiliated dealer. This way there is always a direct line to EMQ, original parts are used and the bike mechanic understands your EMQ.
The only thing that needs occasional lubrication is the chain. Clean it with an old cloth or t-shirt. Lubricate with special chain oil, not with very greasy agents or spray, and after lubricating, wipe off the excess oil with an old cloth. Be careful not to get the lubricant on the rim. Repeat about 1x per month.
As much as possible, keep the tires at 4 bar. This ensures the best range, the EMQ e-bike rides the lightest and you have much less chance of punctures. Moreover, a good tire pressure ensures a longer life of your battery! So you can continue cycling carefree.
Clean the EMQ e-bike regularly, but not with a garden hose or pressure washer. Make sure the bike is dry and brush the dirt off the bike.
